Double-Labelled Physarum Microplasmodium
FragminP and F-actin

Image of microplasmodium of Physarum polycephalum acquired by confocal microscopy. Double labelling for fragminP (red, indirect immunofluorescence) and actin (green, FITC-phalloidin). Note that the plasmodium-specific fragmin does not colocalize with the fibrillar actin network; instead the fragminP is found in small surface projections that contain relatively little F-actin.
