The series Image 10 - Image 12 is similar to the series 07-09, except that the diploid plasmodia pictured in this set (each is the result of the mating of two amoebal strains) are larger. While this image and Image 12 each shows a single plasmodium, feeding on the bacterial lawn and the remaining haploid amoebae, Image 11 shows several such plasmodia, of various sizes.
