SKIN 10

Hide Legend
Full frame width = 1000 um

This is an extremely low magnification scan of a section of a fingertip; the image has been rotated by 180 degrees so as to appear as it would through a microscope with a demagnifying objective (ca. 0.6X). Epidermis, dermis, and hypodermis are indicated at "1", "2", and "3", respectively. At "A" is a Pacinian corpuscle, shown at higher magnification in SKIN 10A. At "B" is a Meissner's corpuscle, shown at higher magnification in SKIN 10B.
