Here, at higher magnification, is the region around "B" in SKIN 10. Compare this micrograph with that in SKIN 08A. The Meissner's corpuscle ("MC") is surrounded by connective tissue of the dermal papillary (DP) layer. This light pressure receptor is very closely apposed to the overlying epidermis (Ep).
