Full frame width = 1000 um
In this survey micrograph of the pancreas one can identify lobules of various sizes separated by connective tissue septae, exocrine acini, ducts of differing caliber, and clusters of endocrine cells (Islets of Langerhans). In addition, the left central portion of the field shows a Pacinian corpuscle, a "deep pressure" proprioceptor whose occurence in the pancreas is common, but not understood.
