Oral Cavity 17
Hide Legend
Full frame width = 395 um
Here, at higher magnification is the region near "A" in Oral Cavity 15. Most of the field is occupied by demineralized dentin: odontoblast processes, in remnants of dentinal tubules, sweep across the field from lower left to upper right, ending at the boundary where, prior to processing, dentin met enamel. The asterisks (***) indicate the enamel-dentin boundary; some of the wispy projections into space at this level are remnants of the Tome's fibers - odontoblast processes that extend for a short distance into the enamel.
