This photomicrograph of spleen is from still another alternative version of slide H24, in this case stained in the conventional manner with H&E. The * is placed in the lumen of a "central artery". NOT labeled, but easily detectible, are white and red pulp, a part of the splenic capsule, and some small trabeculae of connective tissue.
