This field is a higher magnification view of the central portion of Lymphoid Tissues 05. Essentially all of the tissue of a lymph node is lymphoid: i.e highly cellular reticular connective tissue in which the predominant cell type is the lymphocyte. Here, the regions adjacent to medullary cords are seen to contain numerous lymphatic sinuses running through loose connective tissue. Distinguishing the lumen of a sinus from the adjacent connective tissue is at best very difficult; however, spaces such as those at "S" are probably the lumens of lymph sinuses. Macrophages are indicated by "M", while the cells labeled "P" are most likely plasma cells. What other cell types would you expect to find in this "zoo" of nuclei?
