In this blood smear, most of the formed elements are Red Blood Cells, devoid of nuclei and, because of their bi-concave disk shape, quite pale-staining in their central region. Scattered about in the field are several nucleated cells - so-called leucocytes. Although identfying such cells accurately at such low magnification is a bit problematic, the cell at arrow A is probably a neutrophil while that at arrow B is either a lymphocyte or a monocyte.
