This spleen slide was stained with both Hematoxylin and Eosin (the standard H&E protocol) and shows the range of colors typical of such preparations. Because no substances are "purely" acidic or "purely" basic, there are few if any places where the staining appears the same as in either Cyt02 or Cyt03.
