This was taken from an alternate copy of slide D03 (in a region similar to that at the X), showing a number of vessels in the fatty connective tissue at the hilum of the kidney. Identifiable vessels include: 1 - small artery; 2 - small vein; 3 - longitudinally sectioned arteriole; 4 - longitudinally sectioned venule; 5 - arteriole in cross section; 6 - venule in cross section.
